Hindu Wedding

I just returned from Toronto, where I was attending my grandson wedding.
Three hundred guests from four continents attended this formal Hindu ceremony.
It was like a fairy tale. I never was in a Hindu wedding ceremony before.
There was lots of symbolism, music, gift exchange. The ceremony took place in the very ornate ballroom of the Four Season Hotel, which was decorated with lots of light and flowers.
The groom wore below the knee length white silk coat over white silk pants and the bride a soft pink silk sari. They looked stunning, like a fairy tale Prince and Princess.
After the ceremony which lasted about one hour and a half was a session of photo shots and after came dinner and dance. Dinner was superb a choice of lamb or fish and two kind of fabulous desert. There was no sweat table and I was very grateful for that. Sweat table and all the choices they come with, is my downfall.
This is a multi culture, religious and racial union and both religions where honoured.
I am very happy for them and wish them a very long happy life together.

My Balcony Garden In Full Bloom

I have promised that when my garden going to be in full bloom, I will post new pictures.

Well here it is. I may be boring some of you with all this balcony pictures. I am sorry if I do, but I cannot help it showing up with this accomplishment of creating a sanctuary on the ninth floor on a 60-foot space

It takes a lot of work and care. It is worth every minute. Sitting out there with a book, or a cup of coffee, listening to music, or taking a nap lifts my spirit and all the tension I may have. This hobby daily regular exercise and proper eating habits slows down the aging process big time. I know it because I experience it.

If you have space to do something like this I highly recommended, you be glad you did it

My Growing Balcony Garden

My garden is growing very nicely and it gives me a lot of pleasure. I learned a lot from growing a garden. It thought me patience, discipline, and total relaxation.
Try it if you have a chance, even if you start just a few pots. Grow tomatoes, pepper herbs and a few flowers. You do not have space. Try a sunny window seal.

Harvesting your own crop grown on a small space like a balcony it gives a lot of satisfaction. Being successful with some vegetable and flowers which you can cut and place it in a vase will keep you occupied enough to eliminate to a point the feeling of loneliness, anxiety, boredom and anything else you may feel anxious about.

Eating right, going to a gym, and growing a garden is a life style changing, which is hard at any age. Much harder as you grow older, but it is doable even if you feel that is impossible. You want to live as long as possible, healthy, and independent, you have to discipline and motivate yourself to achieve it. Even if you feel you cannot, because you can.
So try it. You have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.
